Thank you for seeing the value in your organization, project or program. It speaks volumes that you are willing to invest your time, effort and resources to gain the knowledge and framework necessary to help you succeed. That investment alone sets you apart.
This workbook was created with your organization, project and programs in mind. Through years of working with nonprofits, entrepreneurs and social enterprises, I have found that the initial work of building a strong foundation is often missing — and that gap is precisely where most promising ventures stall. I believe you understand this very well, which is why you are here.
Whether you are starting a new organization, managing an existing program, proposing a new initiative or scaling what you have already built — the Roadmap to Sustainability (RTS) is designed to assist you every step of the way.
This workbook walks you through eight focused modules: strategic planning, core values, identification of focus areas and target groups, development of S.M.A.R.T Goals, key performance indicators, partnership building, next steps and your complete road map. Each module builds intentionally upon the previous one. By the time you reach the final section, you will have developed a comprehensive framework that can be shared with board members, project managers, investors and stakeholders.
Upon completion, your responses will automatically generate a personalized Roadmap document — a clear, professional strategic framework that is uniquely yours. Take your time. Be honest. Be specific. The quality of your roadmap is a direct reflection of the depth you bring to each question.
Thank you for choosing the Roadmap to Sustainability to add value to the amazing work you are doing now and in the months ahead. Happy planning!
- Work through each module in order — every section builds on the one before it.
- Fields marked with a * are required. You will not be able to advance until they are completed.
- Each module includes a Case Study showing how BridgeWork Co. — a fictional social enterprise — completed that same section. Use it as a professional reference as you craft your own answers.
- Be as specific as possible. Vague answers produce vague roadmaps. Specific answers produce actionable plans.
- You may navigate freely using the sidebar, but all required fields must be completed before generating your roadmap.
- When finished, click "Submit to My Coach" to send your responses and generate your personalized strategic roadmap — ready to print or save as PDF.
